We begin
our journey heading along North the Great Barrier Reef Drive with gorgeous
coastal views of the Pacific Ocean.

Our
first activity gets us started with a big highlight! River Drift Snorkeling is
one of the most unique aquatic activities in the world. Step into the cool,
crystal clear water and drift with the current as you explore life under the
water’s surface. This tour offers an unrivaled opportunity to witness up to 33
species of fish in the river, so you are certain to see a variety.
Turtles, Eels, Butterflies, Water Dragons, Platypus, Rare birds and
beautiful rainforest trees are all found along the river.

Lunch
will be held at the Daintree Tea House. With 30 years in operation, they have
mastered the art of perfection. Lunch has an exotic theme with the outside
dining area secluded in the rainforest with beautiful and exclusive views of
the tropical rainforest and continuous sounds of birds and nature. A fruit
tasting presentation is often a part of their wonderful service

After
lunch we travel to an exclusive location on private property to see the breath
taking honeymoon falls, the largest set of privately owned waterfalls in the
Upper Daintree valley. Why not have a swim or simply take in the beauty of
nature and de-stress at your own very private cascading waterfall

Our
final destination for day 1 is a real highlight for our customers, the Daintree
River Wildlife Cruise. A 2 hour exclusive afternoon to sunset cruise where the
surroundings are full of opportunities to observe and photograph some of the
most primitive forms of animal and plant life in the world. Most days we
experience great bird life and crocodile activity.

Accommodation
and Dinner for this evening will be at the Daintree Ecolodge & Spa,
situated in the heart of the Daintree with magnificent scenery and offering sustainable
luxury in a breathtaking location. Their tropical retreat is the only boutique style

Accommodation

Dinner

After a casual breakfast at the Eco lodge, we are traveling across the
Daintree River Ferry to access the Northern area of the National Park which
includes Cape Tribulation.

The National park is very quiet during the early morning as most
visitors travel from Cairns or Port Douglas. We will visit several boardwalks
to take full advantage of the largest low-level rainforest in
Australia. Walk lengths and difficulties can be modified to suit your wishes.

Heritage Lodge & Spa will be hosting us for lunch today. The lodge
exists in a lush location with stunning natural splendor. With the soft
babbling of Cooper Creek and the songs of the rainforest birds in the
background, you will find the tranquility as exciting as the food!

After lunch we continue to Cape Tribulation.
This famous valley resembles a giant amphitheater, with a semicircle of hills
dominated by Mt Sorrow (850m) and Mt Hemmant (1000m). The southeastern rain,
trapped by this valley, results in a tropical climate with high temperatures,
humidity and rainfall. Renowned for its scenic landscape, remote beaches and Where
the Rainforest meets the Reef!

After all this exploring and discovering new places we will seek refuge
at Ferntree Rainforest Lodge. An environmentally friendly resort set back in
the heart of a lush coastal rainforest, a short stroll from Cape Tribulation’s
Myall Beach and its famous mangrove boardwalks.

Dinner is a short walk away at Whet Restaurant

Optional – We highly recommend coming along for a nocturnal night
spotting session. After a fun-filled day, we leave this activity as an optional
extra. Well worth it for Wildlife Enthusiasts

Today we dive into the Marine experience!

Ocean Safari offers an exhilarating ride to snorkel the pristine
untouched Great Barrier Reef off the Daintree Coast at Cape Tribulation. The
half day Great Barrier Reef tour visits two different snorkel destinations,
each with an extraordinary array of marine life and coral species. After a fast
25 minute ride, you are ready to snorkel two fabulous locations at Mackay and
Undine Reefs.

On most days, you can snorkel alongside sea turtles, which are found in
abundance swimming over reefs full of colorful coral, along with myriads of
tropical fish, eagle rays, giant clams and starfish. Often the coastal
rainforest of the Daintree can be seen along the mainland beach whilst
snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef, two world heritage areas side by side.
The experienced Skipper and Eco Host ensure the trip is filled with fun
and appreciation of the Great Barrier Reef and the coastal rainforest of the
Daintree. Magical memories like these sometimes only happen once in a lifetime.

It’s finally time to begin the journey back to reality. With a few
scenic stops on the way, we’ll have you back in Cairns at approximately 5:30pm.
