The Let’s Go Buggin – Morning Walk tour takes guests on a guided stroll through the Cairns Botanic Gardens. Along the way, guests will visit known bug habitats to find and photograph a wide variety of insects, spiders, fungi and other small creatures. The tour highlights include viewing the Cairns Birdwing butterfly and its caterpillar, Northern Jewelled Orbweaver spiders, and a newly discovered Lacebug known as 'The Midgey Bridgey'. Led by expert macro photographer Bridgette, the tour provides a personal and informative experience for all levels of photographers and nature lovers.

Cairns Botanic Gardens Morning Walk
The tour starts with a guided walk through the Cairns Botanic Gardens. Guests will explore different sections of the gardens known for rich insect life. The guide will point out several bug hotspots where guests can spot and photograph a wide variety of species.
Guests will have the chance to see the Cairns Birdwing butterfly and its caterpillar, along with colourful insects and spiders including the Northern Jewelled Orbweaver and 'The Midgey Bridgey' Lacebug. The guide will also help guests find interesting fungi and other small creatures hidden in the undergrowth. Throughout the walk, the guide offers photography tips to help guests capture close-up images of these tiny subjects.
