Check-in Procedure
Check-in for the Fitzroy Island Adventures Ferry is at the Fitzroy Island Adventures counter inside the Reef Fleet Terminal. Check-in is required 30 minutes prior to the ferry departure. The Reef Fleet Terminal is near the Cairns Marina. The Reef Fleet Terminal and Cairns Marina is within easy walking distance from many city hotels.
SMS Confirmation
Guests will receive an email and SMS message the afternoon prior to their day of travel outlining everything they need to know. This includes a map of the marina and where the vessels are located.
Parking
Parking is available at the nearby Pier Shopping Complex/Shangri-la hotel, located opposite the Reef Fleet Terminal. Hourly cost is from AUD $1.20 for indoor and outdoor parking. All day parking is also available near Trinity Wharf at approximately $3 per day.

All our vessels are pram friendly. However, walks on the island can be rocky and include steps so are not advised when walking. Ask our friendly team on board to store the pram for you.
About Fitzroy Island
Fitzroy Island is only 45 minutes from Cairns and is one of the most popular islands on the Great Barrier Reef.
Being a continental island, it is large and covered with lush, pristine rainforest. Adventurous hikers will enjoy the National Park rainforest walking tracks, including a hike to the lighthouse and summit circuit. From here discover breathtaking views of the island and surrounding reefs. There is also a shorter hiking trail to Nudey Beach and a secret garden track as well as numerous water sports options.
Spend the day snorkelling the fringing coral reefs, where tropical fish present a rainbow of colour. It's as easy as stepping off the beach.

We had a great time at Fitzroy Island. Nudey Beach was spectacular. The food for lunch was nice, a bit expensive but you would expect that on an island.
The only thing we would suggest is better signage to direct you to access the different beaches eg Nudey Beach. The signage was rather poor.
It was a rough trip across with waves crashing on the sides. But the boat pushed its way through them well and the crew were terrific, especially for a group of three who found the waves and weather challenging. On a practical note, the booking was easy, on-line, and the boat left on time at both endss of our day trip.
We had the boat to ourselves and it was great fun sitting on the top deck wind in your hair
Staff are friendly, approachable and will look after you even when you're feeling a little dizzy. I had a great time.

Took the Fitzroy Island day package and had a great day. More than enough activities to fill the day, so much in fact will have to go back.
Please be waiting for the ferry 30 minutes prior to departure and board the boat directly. The ferry departs from Marlin Marina A Finger. Look for small Fitzroy Island Adventures logo.
