Itinerary
Hazards Beach Pick-Up
Guests meet the vessel on the shoreline at Hazards Beach in Freycinet National Park. The boat stops briefly on its way south to Cooks Beach, so guests must be on the beach and ready before the scheduled pick-up time. Boarding is from the beach and may involve stepping into shallow water.
Cruise Across Great Oyster Bay
After boarding, the vessel leaves Hazards Beach for the 30-minute cruise back to Coles Bay. The route follows the granite coastline of the Freycinet Peninsula and crosses Great Oyster Bay, with views of the Hazards peaks and surrounding coastline.
During the transfer, guides share information about local wildlife, geology and history. Guests may see dolphins, seals, seabirds and, during whale migration seasons, whales.
Arrival in Coles Bay
The transfer finishes at Coles Bay Boat Ramp on Garnet Avenue in Coles Bay, Tasmania. A drop-off at Freycinet Lodge is also available for guests who select this option.
