Departure Details
Location: Departing from 95 Marine Parade, Southport.
Times: Tours depart once per day on selected days. Check the website calendar for live availability and times.
Participant Requirements
- Good and strong swimming ability.
- Generally fit and healthy.
- Minimum age for the swimming option is 10 years, and 5 years for whale watching.
Itinerary (For a 9:00 AM Cruise)
8:30 AM: Meet at Southport, use the toilets and get ready.
8:50 AM: Safety brief, put on wetsuits.
9:00 AM: Depart marina and cruise through the Broadwater.
9:15 AM: Enter the open ocean to find and watch the whales.
11:00 AM: Commence return cruise to the Marina whilst watching whales.
11:30 AM: Arrive back at Southport Jetty.
Our Vessel
Our primary whale-watching vessel is an 8m long, semi-inflatable, rigid hull adventure boat with a capacity of 12 guests, providing an intimate and close-to-water experience. Whales often approach our quiet and small boat for a closer look.
Meeting Point
Meet us inside Aqua Adventures and Southport Fish and Dive Centre at 95 Marine Parade, Southport. Ensure timely arrival as the tour departs on schedule.
Whale Sighting Guarantee
In the unlikely event of not spotting whales, each passenger will be entitled to a 'stand-by ticket' for a future tour date, ensuring no one misses out on this extraordinary experience.
