Wildlife Habitat
Located in Port Douglas, the award-winning Wildlife Habitat offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore and interact with Australian wildlife in their natural-like settings. Guests can experience five distinct environments: the Wetlands, Rainforest, Savannah, Woodlands, and a Nocturnal Habitat. This attraction features thrilling experiences such as swimming with saltwater crocodiles, mingling with cassowaries, and hand-feeding eastern grey kangaroos. It aims to foster an appreciation for wildlife conservation by offering enriching experiences that inspire visitors to protect natural environments.
The renowned Breakfast with the Birds now features a koala interaction and presents a new educational dining experience in the Wetlands. Visitors can also attend daily presentations by knowledgeable wildlife keepers or arrange private guided tours. Highlights include observing cassowaries and Lumholtz's tree-kangaroos in the Rainforest, watching gliders in the Nocturnal Habitat, and seeing small birds in the Woodlands. The habitat is open every day from 8 am to 4 pm, except on Christmas Day, offering ample opportunities to connect with nature and contribute to conservation efforts.

Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas is located on Port Douglas Road, just a short drive from the centre of Port Douglas. If you are driving, you can take the Captain Cook Highway north from Cairns and turn onto Port Douglas Road, following the signs to the park.
