Great Adventures is based in Cairns and operates an exciting range of day tours to the iconic Great Barrier Reef. Our modern high speed catamarans depart daily to whisk guests away in comfort to the spectacular outer reaches of the reef and the beautiful rainforest-clad Green Island.
We are recognised by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority as a High Standard Operator and all of our tours are accredited with Advanced Ecotourism and Climate Action Innovator Certification. Our tours ensure our guests have the opportunity to learn about and appreciate this most important World Heritage area. Great Barrier Reef Adventure
Escape into a world of surprises to experience the breathtaking beauty of the Outer Great Barrier Reef. The stable reef activity platform is the perfect base for swimmers and non-swimmers to explore. Snorkel and/or dive, visit the underwater observatory, cruise in a semi-sub, or just relax on the sundeck with a delicious buffet lunch. Join us and the Great Barrier Reef’s vibrant marine life for a voyage into one of the natural wonders of the world.
In addition to the activities included in your tour, there is also a wide range of optional activities to experience on our Outer Great Barrier Reef activity platform. Scuba dive, join a snorkel tour, Scuba Doo below the waves or enjoy the Great Barrier Reef for the air with a scenic helicopter tour.

There are a wide range of optional activities to experience on Green Island. Scuba dive, join a snorkel excursion, and even walk underwater with Seawalker helmet diving. For an exhilarating top-side perspective of the reef, there’s parasailing and scenic helicopter flights too! There’s even the Marineland Melanesia Crocodile Habitat with daily crocodile shows.
