Your day on the outer Great Barrier Reef has five hours of water activities split between two unique sites showcasing a variety of colourful corals and marine life. Snorkel and dive over stunning coral gardens where anemones, sea whips, clams and plate corals are home to clown fish, angel fish and bat fish. Large schools of giant trevally, red bass and sweetlip congregate between the bommies, while turtles, cuttle fish, rays and sharks are frequently seen.
Indigenous sea rangers will join you on a spectacular day tour visiting two spectacular outer Great Barrier Reef sites. Dreamtime Dive & Snorkel is unique. Cruise directly to Moore Reef where you will spend two hours exploring the underwater world with snorkel and glass bottom boat experiences.
Then cruise to Milln or Flynn Reef for a further three hours of in-water activities. Enjoy a relaxing five hours exploring two premium outer reef sites and gain a deeper cultural understanding of this diverse ecosystem.

Introductory Diving | $50 Per dive (Max 3 Dives)
No experience necessary. All equipment supplied including wetsuit & souvenir dive certificate to hang on your wall. Our vessel provides a safe, controlled environment perfect for the novice diver. Stairs leading into the water for easy access where you will spend time practicing some basic scuba skills before heading off on your dive. Group size is kept small with a maximum of 4 divers per instructor (less if nervous divers) so you know you are in safe hands.
Your first dive will be in our coral lagoon, a shallow sheltered area with dense coral cover and teaming with fish life. The 1st dives last around 20-30 minutes and reach a maximum of 10m with most of the dive around 4-5m. On the 2nd dive you will have already done the skills leaving more time for the actual dive. Introductory diving is one of the most popular & enjoyed activities when it comes to Cairns Reef tours.
Introductory Diving | $50 Per dive (Max 3 Dives)
Dreamtime Dive & Snorkel are renowned for offering some of the best certified diving on the Great Barrier Reef. Our expert guides will take you to a selection of drift, wall & channel dives including swim through, small caves, ledges & drop off’s. These locations are only accessible to Dreamtime Dive & Snorkel visitors so you are ensured a unique dive experience.
With 5 hours actual reef time we can offer up to 3 completely different dives in a day. All dives are professionally guided for your safety and enjoyment. We take you direct to the best places, leaving you more time to take in the beauty of your surroundings without the need to navigate.
Sites are chosen to suit the weather conditions on the day and take in to account the experience of the divers. Don’t forget your log book so we can record your Great Barrier Reef experience for you!

The crew were very accommodating, entertaining and informative with a relaxed style. They showcased the beauty of the reef in a variety of ways which allowed tourists of all abilities to enjoy the reef. A great day had by all.
Yesterday we had a great day on Dreamtime Snorkel & Dive. The crew were friendly, relaxed and entertaining. We all enjoyed hearing the young indigenous people sharing their cultural stories, explaining their shields, their didgeridoos and clap sticks, performing dances. The boat was quite new and the number of guests was small. The first reef was pretty, with drop-offs. The second reef was an expansive coral garden. Here there was extremely pretty and healthy coral of all colours including dusty pinks with matching lavender and pink striped fish, and an abundance of other vibrant fish. It was 17 knots and high tide so the conditions weren't ideal but we had a super day. Lunch was delicious! Wetsuits, lycra suits all included. Snorkel gear in good condition. Thank you Dreamtime Snorkel and dive! Two mothers and three teenage boys.
The weather conditions were not fantastic the day we went out. The staff were honest before we left which allowed for people to prepare for a slower trip out. The staff on board we all friendly and happy to help out.
The boat trip and staff were fantastic. It was educational with the marine biologist on board and in the water pointing out the coral and fish.
Dreamtime Dive & Snorkel departs Cairns daily from the Reef Fleet Terminal at 9am and returns at 5pm. Check-in starts at 8.15am at the Reef Magic Cruises counter inside the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal.
