Cairns Waterfalls Tour
The Cairns Explorer Tour tour is a half-day trip from Cairns City to rainforest swimming spots, lookouts and local landmarks. Itinerary
Crystal Cascades
The tour starts with a visit to Crystal Cascades, a freshwater swimming area near Cairns. Guests can swim in the pools, walk near the creek and spend time in the rainforest surroundings.
Behana Gorge
The next stop is Behana Gorge, located south of Cairns near Gordonvale. Guests can see the gorge, visit the waterfall area and swim in the freshwater pools when conditions allow.
Gordonvale Sugar Mill
The tour visits Gordonvale Sugar Mill, an important site in the local sugar industry. Guests can learn about sugar production in the Cairns region and the history connected to Gordonvale.
Walsh’s Pyramid
Guests stop for photos at Walsh’s Pyramid, a natural landmark near Gordonvale. The stop gives guests a view of the pyramid-shaped mountain and the surrounding cane fields.
McGregor’s Lookout
The tour finishes at McGregor’s Lookout. From this lookout, guests can see views across the ranges and toward the Great Barrier Reef area before returning to Cairns.
