Blue Mountains Half Day Abseiling Tour
A brilliant half day abseiling adventure tour from Katoomba. With a guide who provides instruction and encouragement, you'll rappel down a set of cliffs, from 16 feet (5 meters) to 49 feet (15 meters) to a 98-foot (30-meter) drop. During your adventure, don't forget to look around at the surrounding bushland scenery. Your instructors are close at hand to encourage and explain the techniques.

Getting There
High & Wild is a 5-minute walk from Katoomba Train Station.
Free all day parking around the back of the hostel.
Please note that if you are travelling by train it is a beautiful scenic 2 hour ride from Sydney. The train normally leaves central between 6:13am and 6:25am (please check prior to the day)

Your day at a glance:
- We start with a smallish 5 metre abseil. If you have abseiled before this abseil gets you back in the swing of things. If you have never abseiled before it teaches you the technique of abseiling.
- Your instructors are close at hand to encourage and explain the techniques.
- From here we head straight on to 15 metre abseils which you can do a couple of times.
- Then with your instructor explaining each step, you progress through to our 30 metre adrenaline pumping overhanging abseil.
- The setting is the beautiful Blue Mountains National Park, making it both a scenic and exciting adventure!
Things To Bring
Dress for the weather, wear running or hiking shoes and bring water and camera. For Canyoning bring running shoes to get wet, swimsuit and waterproof camera. If you don’t have one we supply a waterproof camera free of charge. We also have helmets fitted with Go Pro mounts.
Who can Participate
You do not need to have prior canyoning & abseiling experience to join this tour.
Recommended for people 14 and over with moderate fitness. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Travelling with children
Children between the ages of 10-17 years will be applicable for child rates. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
